Course Outline
To reduce stress among staff by helping them to identify changes necessary to restore balance in their lives; and to develop strategies for making these changes.
There are three main elements to the course:
(i) Relaxation and reflection exercises to bring about calm and clarity creating the ideal atmosphere for:
(ii) Creatively engaging with: problem-solving on sources of stress in an enjoyable, stimulating sequence of clearly defined steps leading to:
(iii) Action Planning – the outcomes of the problem solving are specific tasks which will bring about the desired changes. These tasks may be related to work or personal issues.
Stress Management is anxiety management. It is about moving from anxious and difficult states to being more resourced.
Stress is the syndrome we encounter when perceived demands exceed perceived abilities. When we are ‘charged up’ on adrenaline, initially it is enjoyable, but after a while it becomes extremely wearing.
Clear Mind Training Stress Management helps you with the positive habit of how to return to your natural resourced state. In the workshop, it is only when you are back in that resourced state that we look at strategies to reduce stress.
Outcomes are action plans that include regular exercises that both reduce stress and help prevent it, as well as other strategies that reduce the conditions in which stress can arise.
