This course helps with confidence and fresh ideas in presentation. There is also an emphasis on how to create an effective learning environment.
Some of the thinking behind it is that people attending a training want an effective interaction (with you the trainer). After all most people are easily able to access almost any information nowadays from books or the internet.
So primarily, a training is a communication. (Even if you are simply giving a talk there is still a two way flow happening. As a speaker you are subconsciously picking up on all sorts of non-verbal information from your audience.)
A learning environment establishes a framework for people’s knowledge and then emables them to incorporate new information into that framework. It also consists of a number of people experiencing learning. And crucially this includes you the trainer! (Don’t emphasise this too much to your trainees, but the person who learns the most, especially in terms of self development is you the trainer!!)
People retain approximately 20% of information from the purely spoken word; 50% of that which is both spoken and presented visually and over 90% of information that they have the opportunity of experiencing.
During the Clear Mind Training for Trainers course we will:
Learn how to establish an experiential learning environment
Establish our own personal style of presenting
Incorporate the range of learning styles (theorists, activists, reflectors and pragmatists)
Establish the link between thinking on your feet and training creatively.
